Geoffrey Peters is a Principal in the Operations Practice of Archstone Consulting and has worked across the entire spectrum of some of the most complex international Supply Chains, and works to find solutions for clients that result in both short-term and long-term payback.
He combines extensive industry management experience with over ten years of consulting to global enterprises - resulting in pragmatic solutions to operational issues across a wide range of industry silos. Some of Mr. Peters' key areas of functional depth include Strategic Procurement, Sourcing and Supplier Management, Inventory Management, eProcurement, Make vs. Buy Analyses, Operational Improvement, and Logistics and Warehousing Cost Reductions.
Mr. Peters has particularly distinguished himself with comprehensive and customized approaches to the sourcing of Indirect Categories of Spend - even those which are the most complex and difficult. Prior to joining Archstone Consulting, Mr. Peters was Director of Procurement at Sears Holdings and its predecessor companies, and a Principal Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers and EDS/AT Kearney. He has spoken at numerous conferences on the topics of Outsourcing, Strategic Sourcing and Professional Services and Complex Category Sourcing.
Early in his career, Mr. Peters worked at Montgomery Ward, Kraft Foods and SC Johnson and Sons in a variety of Finance and Operations positions.
He has an M.B.A. in Finance and Economics from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and a B.A. from Lake Forest College in Mathematics and Economics. In his spare time, he is a nationally-ranked racquetball player and serves on the Board of Directors of USA Racquetball and the Illinois State Racquetball Association.
